University Union is back to provide you with some fire tunes to carry you through the snow this winter. On our UU Artists to Watch '16 Spotify playlist we have some artists to watch out for, and we think you will love them just as much as we do.

Our first featured artist is the British indie-electronic singer and musician Jack Garratt. With a vibe similar to Jamie xx and James Blake, but a voice that could front anything from R&B to folk, Garratt has created an impressive portfolio of music. He has an even more impressive future ahead of him. With the new album Phase, set to be released February 19, make sure you are ahead of the game by listening to this artist.

Gallant is the second of our featured artists-to-watch. With an R&B voice like butter, and soulful music with electronic influences, he is a powerhouse ready to take over. He has already made waves last summer with his successful song “Weight In Gold.” With an EP under his belt and more to come, he is an exciting young artist to follow.

The Japanese House, though with a name like a band, is Amber Bain's project. With layers upon layers of effect on her voice and multifaceted beats, The Japanese House is a uniquely serene and mysterious listening experience that is definitely worth your ears. With a Zane Lowe cosign in the books, this young artist has a lot more to offer and we are on board for all of it.

Check out our UU Artists to Watch '16 Playlist, and make it the track to your long winter in Syracuse.
