"Broad City" Girls Take Syracuse

One of Comedy Central's biggest shows, "Broad City" is coming to Syracuse University. The hit stars, Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer, will perform at the Goldstein Auditorium on Oct. 24 at 8 p.m. and tickets are on sale in the Schine Box Office now! Here are few things to know about the duo to get ready for a hilarious night:

1. Jacobson and Glazer met in improv class

The two funny gals were taking classes in New York at the famous Upright Citizens Brigade where they immediately hit it off. They created their own YouTube channel, called Broad City in 2009 based their videos off of their shenanigans in the Big Apple.

2. Their show is hilarious

"Broad City" is about the journey of Abbi and Ilana, two Jewish best friends, who live in New York City. Illana avoids work as much as she can and enjoys her fair share of marijuana, while Abbi attempts to become a successful illustrator. Throughout the show Abbi gets sidetracked by Ilana's mistakes and mixups.

3. Glazer and Jacobson are besties with famous comedians

Amy Poehler is the executive producer of their show, but was a guest star for a very long time when "Broad City" first started. Now, Hannibal Buress and Josh Gemberling are reoccurring cast members. Famous stars such as Kelly Ripa, Fred Armisen, Seth Morris and many more have graced the Comedy Central scene with the two girls.
